On 22 and 23 March 2018 the International Design Center Berlin will host a two-day networking programme in Łódź. The "Berlin Poland" event intends to connect smaller- and medium-sized Berlin fashion labels with Polish clothing manufacturers.
For the fourth time, IDZ organises the B2B networking exchange including a networking lunch to create new contacts in the transnational fashion industry. Furthermore, there will be the possibility to visit a number of Polish businesses around Łódź and to gain first-hand insights into the production facilities.
The aim of the event is the nurturing of a production network between Poland and Berlin. In this capacity, the network is intended to provide support to the Berlin fashion industry in the development of new or previously lacking production facilities.
Poland has a well-preserved textile industry with high production quality, coupled with a diversity of skilled craftsmanship that is extremely rare in Germany today. For Berlin-based fashion companies, the neighbouring country of Poland represents an attractive, regional production base – one that can respond flexibly to the different requirements and order volumes that are characteristic to the Berlin fashion industry.
More information about the event’s program and registration will be published on the project website shortly. The registration will be open until 7 March 2018.
