“Entering and winning a DBA Design Effectiveness Award was a fantastic way to engage and motivate our teams and benchmark our capabilities. It also provided a great opportunity to celebrate success too!”
Geoff Smyrk, The LEGO Group
The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards celebrate the power of design to drive business success and provide compelling proof of why design is a sound commercial investment.
With submissions rigorously judged by a panel of international business figures, winning a DBA Design Effectiveness Award is independent acknowledgement and irrefutable evidence that a business commercially delivers.
The Call for Entries is now open.
The entry deadline is 5pm GMT, Friday 30 June 2017.
This year’s judging panel includes: Paul Edwards, Head of Architecture & Industrial Design, Airbus, Jenny Fleischer, Lead Program Management, Global Business Unit Digital, Beiersdorf AG, Mark van Iterson, Director Global Heineken Design, Heineken International, Nanna Ulrich Gudum, Vice President Design, LEGO.
Members of BEDA can extend a discount entry fee to their own members of £520+vat (€635) ($675) per entry, compared to the standard rate per entry of £1,020+vat (€1,245) ($1,325). To benefit from this discount, your members simply need to select DBA member rate when submitting their entry online and then write the code 'BEDA' when asked for their membership number. (See below for early bird rates*).
The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards are open to entries from any country, and do not need to be linked to a UK business or agency. A unique feature of these Awards is that client businesses can enter jointly with design consultancies or with their own company design teams, and agencies can enter with their client businesses.
The entry pack and further information can be found at effectivedesign.org.uk.
Early bird savings

Early bird discounted entry fee £420+vat (€510) ($545). The entry will need to be completed and submitted online by the final deadline date of 30 June 2017.
"The most important way of communicating the value of design and what we do as designers is by measuring its true business effectiveness. The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards showcase the substantial returns that investment in our design can bring for our clients."
