13 18MCBW 2016 – Design Connects Visions For Economy, 20th - 28th February 2016, Munich

Since its inception, Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW), the largest design event held in Germany for designers and contractors, has become one of the main attractions for top international designers, architects, creative people, business and economic sector representatives and all those who have a general interest in design. The reason: MCBW clearly is aimed at engaging people with design and its relevance to society, culture and the economy.

The Focus of MCBW 2016 will be Design Connects Visions For Economy.

Design is a theme that connects. Design builds bridges. Design has the potential to combine many small and large thoughts and make them understandable. The connection between design and the economy is the key to assertive, courageous innovations.

The main focal points of MCBW 2016 from 20th till 28th February will include future markets such as health management, urban planning, recreation, retailing and shopping, mobility, and education at the interfaces of these areas of design:

  • Digital Lifestyle
  • Industry 4.0 Mobilty and Urban Life
  • Communication and Brands

This year our exclusive partner country is the Netherlands. All visitors can expect a lively discourse on trends, themes and theses of the Dutch design scene.

However, not all of the events during MCBW 2016 will follow the Design Connects Visions For Economy theme; MCBW has also been designed as an open platform for creative products.

For the fifth time, MCBW’s multi-facetted, informative programme will provide inspiration and innovation for trade visitors and design aficionados.

Design concerns us all! Through its products, architecture, media, fashion or communications - professional design plays an increasing role in our lives. MCBW will provide a broad audience with information on current and future developments and trends.
