German Federal Ecodesign Award Exhibition of Nominees and Winners for 2013

The travelling exhibition of German Federal Ecodesign Award "Bundespreis Ecodesign" presents the competition winners and nominees for 2013: from new mobility and energy concepts to recyclable fashion to hybrid wood construction systems. The next edition will take place at Designers’ Open in Leipzig from October 24 to 26.

Commissioned by the Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Environment Agency, the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ), has developed the competition and has hosted the annual Federal Ecodesign Award since 2012. The Award emphasizes the environmental impact of design and honours innovative and sustainable design solutions.

Formosa Forms“Formosa Forms”: the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents exhibition on Taiwanese design trends

Sculptural lamps, high-performance notebooks and elaborate bicycles: With well-designed products from diverse areas of life, Taiwan ranks among the world market leaders in the design sector. With the special exhibition “Formosa Forms – Design trends in technology and lifestyle from Taiwan”, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents selected designs from Taiwan from 1 October until 2 November 2014.

It presents the best of German fashion to international buyers and press providing a unique opportunity for groundbreaking and cutting-edge designers to promote themselves outside Berlin.

Located in Paris and New York, Berlin Showroom showcases a carefully curated group of designers, ranging from emerging talents to Berlin’s new establishment, all presenting their collections in a showroom environment during Paris Fashion Week (mens- and womenswear) and New York Fashion Week.
