Wallonia has an abundance of talented designers and dynamic companies. For this reason, the non-profit making organization Wallonie Design has been set up to inform, guide, connect, develop and make entrepreneurs and designers aware in order to turn design integration into a tool of economic, cultural and social development.
Our function? To be the LINK BETWEEN COMPANIES AND DESIGNERS
Our offer? Free and tailor-made services to encourage:
- Companies to increase their development and their position through the contribution of design
- Designers to develop their activities at the disposal of companies but also their own projects
We are at the disposal of students in design, of institutions/local authorities and of the general public as well.
In order to reach its goals, Wallonie Design :
- Relies on a large network of specialized partners and on a list of professional designers
- Puts at your disposal a series of resources aiming at a better integration of design
A department fully dedicated to ecodesign has been created within our structures in order to better frame the distinctive features and needs linked to taking the environment into account when creating or improving products/services.
Ecodesign is an approach which takes the environment into account during the design stage or the improving stage of a product (good or service) and may even lead to calling the product into question (value and functionality of the product).
Our services are free and are aimed at entrepreneurs, designers, and students in design, institutions and the general public.
Moreover, Wallonie Design works as an operator or partner of closely related projects such as RECIPROCITY design Liège, Boost-Up / Industries Créatives, WEDC, FRED. Shortly described below.
