For the 7th time, the German Federal Ecodesign Award is looking for outstanding products, services and concepts that consistently focus on environmental compatibility, good design as well as transparency. Contributions can be submitted online until 9 April 2018.
The registration phase for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018 is well under way: Designers and manufacturers from all over the globe still have until 9 February 2018 to register their products. These products can only be objects that are manufactured using an industrial production process.
On 12 January 2018 the Congress of Deputies (lower house of the Spanish Parliament), held a conference on the topic of “Spanish Design in the 21st Century: Challenges and Strategies” gathering more than 200 guests with the government to implement design policies in the context of a broad innovation strategy.
The Design4Innovation Policy Booklet is intended to support governments and stakeholders to develop Design Action Plans and to integrate design into innovation policy, based on the experience from other countries and regions that have mapped their Design Ecosystems.
True to this year’s motto "It’s Time to Think Outside the Box", the Artic Desgin Week seeks to inspire new ways of looking at design and business models by presenting innovative design talks, workshops and design exhibitions – including International Design Center Berlin’s travelling exhibition "Reconsider Design".
Jil Sander, one of the most influential fashion designers of our time, is to receive the 2018 German Design Award’s Personality Prize. She will accept this prize at an Awards Ceremony in Frankfurt on 9 February 2018.
