Human Cities_Challenging the city scale is a European project supported by the Creative Europe /Culture program. Led by the Cité du design Saint-Etienne for 4 years (2014-2018), it explores the transformations of the city scale and the co-creation of the city.
IDZ UX Design Awards – Save the date: Award Nominee exhibition
International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) share details of their UX Design Awards exhibition and award ceremony in Berlin this September.
The exhibition of winners and nominees of Federal German Ecodesign Award will be shown at the Federal Environment Ministry in Berlin from July 1 to 19, 2015.
Exhibits on display include innovative transport systems, energy saving and repairable electronic products, sustainable fashion, as well as online games raising awareness about efficient use of resources.
"Enduring, not ultimate form": 60 years of design history, from "Industrieform" to Red Dot
What began sixty years ago as a "Permanent Show of Elegant Industrial Products" has now become the world's largest presentation of contemporary design, presented in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. Between 29 June and 23 August 2015, the exhibition will show current and historical exhibits, reconstruct highlights from past presentations, and document the eyewitness accounts alongside posters and photographs from 60 years of design history.

Light & Shape: Best of Belgian Design - exhibition in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen
From 28 October 2014 until 25 January 2015, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents the special exhibition “Light & Shape: Best of Belgian Design”. From the ultra-light luggage collection to the well-shaped luminaire: On show is a selection of elaborate products which document the design knowhow of Belgian designers and manufacturers. All of the exhibits received the renowned Red Dot Award in one of the world’s largest design competitions.
Exhibition of Nominees and Winners for 2013
The travelling exhibition of German Federal Ecodesign Award "Bundespreis Ecodesign" presents the competition winners and nominees for 2013: from new mobility and energy concepts to recyclable fashion to hybrid wood construction systems. The next edition will take place at Designers’ Open in Leipzig from October 24 to 26.
Commissioned by the Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Environment Agency, the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ), has developed the competition and has hosted the annual Federal Ecodesign Award since 2012. The Award emphasizes the environmental impact of design and honours innovative and sustainable design solutions.
