Why Join?

At BEDA, we want to drive the agenda for design in Europe and encourage our members to be even more effective in what they do.

What are the benefits of joining?

1. Align your organisation with the values of BEDA
For BEDA the values of good design are intrinsically user-centred and human-centred. Design is seen as an open process, strategic, holistic and multidisciplinary. It adds value in the most economical way, it’s sustainable, and it builds a bridge between technological innovation and the customer. By joining BEDA you can align your organisation with others promoting these principles, explore many examples of best practice, and share your own across our European network.

2. Gain influence in Europe and at home

The political sphere within which we all operate is changing, fast. To miss the opportunity to be a part of the shaping of future EU, national and regional design and innovation policies would be a disappointment to any ambitious organisation. Membership of BEDA gives you a voice in this important process, the ability to influence the future of design in Europe, and the tools you need to be more effective in determining the role of design in your own country.

3. Be a part of a powerful network

A critical element of BEDA’s power to influence is its broad membership base and network. The ability to plug directly into this network, and through this, stay on top of all design activity as well as the political agenda is probably the single biggest benefit for any design-orientated organisation in joining and being involved in BEDA. This network may also be your route to partners for European projects.

4. Share what you know and learn from others

BEDA membership is a great way to make new friends in design across Europe. Why not learn from the experience of others or bring your knowledge to the table? Our goal is to create breakthroughs in the understanding of what design can do for business and Europe, so why not share your successes with us and learn from others' successes?
