Mission Statement
My professional passion is in developing, implementing and evaluating government policies, programmes and services using design. Since 2009, I have managed a portfolio of consultancy, research and training contracts on design in the public sector worth £11m. I became a Professor of Design and Policy in 2021. I have supported governments around the world to integrate design into their ways of working, policies and business support programmes as well as to develop policy labs. Recent projects include research and consultancy for the OECD, service and policy design in the European Central Bank, reviewing the strategy for the Latvian Innovation Lab, evaluating government innovation labs and evaluating Design Vouchers for Scottish Enterprise.
