ADI Design Museum is hosting, from 5 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, the installation “Drive Different” by Giosuè Boetto Cohen. It is an exhibition and collaborative window on the exhibition “Drive Different – From Austerity to the Future of Mobility,” which the National Automobile Museum opened in Turin on 23 November 2023, and will remain open until 7 April 2024.
Exploring the evolution of individual urban mobility, this exhibition in Milan showcases a compelling dialogue between iconic micro-cars of the past and their modern electric counterparts. The journey from early miniature vehicles to today’s eco-friendly options reflects a consistent pursuit of personal freedom and efficient urban navigation. Iconic models like the Isetta and Topolino, each with their unique historical legacies, are now echoed in contemporary designs like the Electric Mickey Mouse and Microlino. This retrospective and forward-looking event not only celebrates automotive innovation but also addresses the broader cultural and environmental implications of urban transportation across generations.
