The Importance of Awards for Designers

Within the design world, there are countless competitions and awards. For example, in Belgium, there are the Henry van de Velde Awards and the Creative Belgium Awards, but internationally there are a lot more. How do you know which awards can mean the most to you? How do you send up for a match? How do you deal smartly with all procedures? How do you best build your case or file? Or are you unsubt whether your work is eligible for an award? Winning an award can open many doors for a designer or design agency. Brand awareness, press attention, new customers or assignments,… You will find out the do’s and don’ts of award competitions during this Lab on Tuesday 6 February in collaboration with Creative Belgium.
