Urban October at the Faculty of Design (Ljubljana, Slovenia) is an annual design month dedicated to sustainable innovation, addressing critical global issues such as sustainable development, urban planning, architecture, and the circular economy.
The event includes several workshops, design talks (panel talks), exhibitions and collaborations with local and international experts, offering valuable insights into the future of design and sustainable living.
Two flagship initiatives mark the Urban October: World Habitat Days (7 – 11 October) and New European Bauhaus Days (9 – 25 October). World Habitat Days emphasizes the importance of wood as the material of the future, showcasing its benefits through workshops, exhibitions, and discussions. The event also promotes woodworking careers to inspire young people. The New European Bauhaus Days highlights the integration of sustainability and design, focusing on innovative architectural and circular economy practices.
