Designing a Sustainable Future: Society 5.0 & Global Innovation

The Faculty of Design and EMUNI University, in collaboration with Design Management Slovenia (DMS), the World Design Organisation (WDO), and the City of Ljubljana, proudly present the GoinGreenGlobal Design Week 2025. This international design week is dedicated to advancing sustainable practices and fostering innovation across the creative industries.

From 31 March to 4 April, 2025, Ljubljana will host a dynamic program featuring lectures, interactive workshops, Design Talk roundtables, student exhibitions, and the 8th international scientific conference A.L.I.C.E. (Architecture, Landscape, Interiors, Culture, Emotions). Under the theme “Designing a Sustainable Future: Society 5.0 & Global Innovation,” the event will bring together distinguished experts from academia and industry, representing countries such as Serbia, Croatia, Canada, Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, Lithuania, Mongolia, Mexico, Ireland, India, China, Egypt, and Slovenia.

GGG Design Week serves as a unique platform for students, researchers, and professionals in interior design, visual communications, fashion and textiles, design management, and jewelry design. This year’s program will emphasize the integration of sustainable design methodologies, including the 3R concept (reduce, reuse, recycle), green technologies, and human-centered approaches in design and leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge discussions, hands-on experiences, and networking opportunities with global thought leaders shaping the future of design.

A special highlight of the week will be an architectural tour showcasing selected works of Jože Plečnik, one of Slovenia’s most influential architects. This experience will offer inspiration for exploring space, aesthetics, and cultural heritage within contemporary design discourse.

Join us at GoinGreenGlobal Design Week 2025 and be part of the movement shaping a more sustainable and innovative future through design.

Stay tuned for more and see the programme!
