Design Drinks & Talks

On Thursday evening, 26 February, Designregio Kortrijk invites you to a new edition of their networking and inspiration event Design Drinks & Talks at innovation agency CREAX. They have invited illustrator Jonas Devacht, Managing Partner – CEO of CREAX Mathieu Mottrie and Annelies Thoelen, coordinator of Designpunt, as speakers. Welcome!

Speakers

Jonas Devacht

Jonas Devacht is an illustrator and designer from Zwevezele and a Devine Howest alumnus. Jonas works with studios, agencies and brands from all over the world, creating campaigns, branding, clothing, murals and moving images. His style is characterised by curiosity, craftsmanship and a penchant for bold, maximalist images. Last year, Jonas could be seen at work on the US BY NIGHT stage, among other places.

Mathieu Mottrie (Managing Partner – CEO CREAX)

Innovation is crucial to making a business future-proof. However, innovation is complex and has become a profession in its own right. For more than 25 years, Creax has been the trusted partner of leading innovators worldwide. They help them discover new opportunities and solve their biggest challenges. Mathieu is proud to lead, manage and grow these activities. He has extensive experience in entrepreneurship, business development and management.

Annelies Thoelen (Designpunt)

Annelies Thoelen is coordinator of Designpunt, the support centre for design culture in Flanders. She explains how they stimulate the sector by developing knowledge, encouraging reflection and highlighting the importance of design as an artistic discipline. With their programme, they demonstrate the artistic and cultural value of the contemporary design sector and make it a topic of discussion.
