The Difference that Makes the Difference
Creative Skills Week 2026 will take place in Brussels, bringing together representatives from the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI), policymakers, educators, and industry leaders from across Europe. The event explores how creative skills can help address some of today’s most pressing challenges, including technological transformation, social cohesion, democratic participation, and innovation.
At the heart of the programme is the concept of creative confidence: the ability to turn creative thinking into action, collaborate across disciplines, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Through keynote discussions, case studies, and cross-sector showcases, participants will examine how creative skills contribute not only to culture and the arts but also to education, governance, healthcare, and the wider economy.
The 2026 edition also marks an important milestone for the CYANOTYPES project, featuring presentations of pilot initiatives and policy recommendations that demonstrate the real-world impact of creative skills. Co-organised by EIT Culture & Creativity, CYANOTYPES, and Creative Futures Academy, the event highlights the growing recognition of culture and creativity as key drivers of Europe’s future resilience and transformation.
