Disainiöö / Tallinn Design Festival is the largest design festival in the Baltics, bringing together designers, entrepreneurs, students and design enthusiasts. Held in Tallinn’s historic industrial spaces, the festival serves as an international platform where design, innovation and collaboration meet.
The largest design festival in the Baltics, Disainiöö / Tallinn Design Festival, will take place from 28 September to 4 October 2026 at Põhjala Factory in Tallinn. For more than twenty years, Disainiöö has brought together designers, creative entrepreneurs, students and design enthusiasts, becoming an important international platform where ideas, innovation and collaboration converge. The festival attracts over 10,000 visitors annually and has been featured in leading international media outlets such as Dezeen, Euronews, DesignWanted, Monthly Design+ (Korea), WDO, BEDA, and others.
The 2026 theme, “Future of Product Design,” focuses on the role of product design in a rapidly changing world, exploring how sustainability, adaptability, inclusivity and material awareness are shaping the next generation of products and services.
Throughout the week, the festival offers a diverse programme of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, community events and design commerce, bringing design into the urban environment and everyday life. The programme is enriched by the Well Made exhibition, the French Design Awards showcase, an international poster exhibition, a dedicated children’s programme, and an extensive satellite programme that opens design experiences across the city in studios, galleries and creative hubs. In addition, design bike tours invite visitors to discover Tallinn’s design locations and festival venues in the fresh air.
On 29 September, the festival hosts a French Culture Day in collaboration with Sügisjazz, featuring renowned French designers and cultural figures, culminating in a Parisian chanson concert.
Festival highlights include the BRUNO Product Design Award exhibition and the Estonian Design Awards gala, fashion performance DOM, the interior and outdoor design market area, and many other exciting events and locations throughout Põhjala Factory and the whole city.
