Who We Are
The Association of Dutch Designers, known by its Dutch abbreviation BNO. The BNO represents designers and design agencies in the Netherlands. We promote their business, social and cultural interests. We bring together over 2,500 individual designers, as well as 200 design agencies and design departments within companies.
What We Do
The Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) promotes the business, social and cultural interest of designers in the Netherlands. Its most important task is to provide support and advice to members in performing their profession. As part of that effort, the BNO constantly seeks to deepen and broaden the design profession. On top of that, the BNO turns the national and international spotlight on the achievements of Dutch Design.
It may be a less visible side of its work, but the BNO is also very active in championing the economic interests of its members. We remain in touch with and work together with government organisations, educational institutes, as well as other trade groups representing self-employed workers, employees or employers in the Netherlands and abroad. Finally, we encourage and facilitate business and social contacts among our members, as well as between other organisations.
