After more than 50 years, the Barcelona Design Centre begins a new stage under the name of Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation. This transformation reinforces its role as a promoter of business creativity and projects its international character in response to the growing demand for creative innovation worldwide.
The Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation has a clear vision: to position Barcelona as a global reference in business creativity and creative economy, consolidating it as the city of ideas. Its mission is to promote the creative economy, collaborating with the professional and business community to develop its ecosystem and demonstrate the value of creativity in all economic sectors. To this end, the organization is working to promote the city as a hub for creative talent and interdisciplinary innovation, capable of responding to global challenges from the potential of its local strengths.
What We Do
The Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation is committed to two major initiatives:
Barcelona Design Week®: One of the most important creative events in the city, which will celebrate its 20th edition in 2025, consolidating Underground BDW, an innovative format that combines a fair and a collective exhibition.
Inspired in Barcelona® Platform: A new digital space to connect the creative community, promote cross-sectorial projects and give visibility to different creative profiles. On the other hand, Inspired in Barcelona® will continue to be an itinerant platform for participation in international events to give visibility to the creative community, promoting business opportunities in global markets.
In parallel, the foundation will continue to lead the Design and Creativity Cluster, which has 130 members, including companies, creative agencies and training centers.
