Apply Now: NEB Facility – Call for Proposals Under the R&I Component

The Research and Innovation component of the NEB Facility has launched its first call for proposals and is currently accepting applications.

The 2025 Horizon Europe programme includes a €118.4 million call for projects supporting the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. This funding will focus on projects that:

• Connect green transformation, social inclusion, and local democracy;
• Explore circular and regenerative approaches for the built environment;
• Identify innovative funding and business models for European neighbourhood transformation.

Notably, approximately €63 million will finance projects demonstrating innovative solutions, serving as NEB approach showcases. Examples include regenerative design for ecosystem restoration, innovations in social and affordable housing, adaptable and disassemblable renovation design, and sustainable and inclusive street furniture. The remaining funds will support fundamental research and other related activities.

Furthermore, the NEB Facility’s roll-out component is already receiving initial support. Two LIFE programme calls for proposals, with up to €8 million allocated for NEB projects, were announced in April 2025.

The application deadline for the new NEB Facility calls is 12 November 2025.
