Atelier Bohemia: A Year of Turning Design into Deals
ATELIER BOHEMIA is bringing people together to share perspectives on design, heritage, and the traditional crafts that define the Czech Republic. One year since opening its doors in London’s Clerkenwell district, the project is proving that vision works in practice.
Atelier Bohemia opened in May 2025 with a clear ambition: bring the best of contemporary Czech craftsmanship to a prestigious London venue, and connect it directly with British architects, developers, and design professionals.
Behind the project stand Bohemian Craft and CzechTrade, the Czech trade promotion agency. Through its Design Centre, CzechTrade shapes Atelier Bohemia as a curated showcase of Czech design, craftsmanship, and innovation, selecting the brands that bring the space to life. On the ground in London, the CzechTrade UK office turns that vision into business, organising meetings, events, and lasting relationships between Czech manufacturers and UK buyers.
One year on, the results speak for themselves. Ten concrete business projects have already been realised directly through the showroom, with several participating brands reporting significant growth on the UK market. Today, Czech design and craftsmanship brands are presented across three floors, offering a taste of the country’s finest manufacturing traditions to a demanding international audience.
Atelier Bohemia has also grown into a genuine networking hub, taking part in Clerkenwell Design Week for the second year running and hosting events that bring London’s design community together with Bohemian craftsmanship.
The Atelier Bohemia and CzechTrade Design Centre service form a platform in the heart of London’s Clerkenwell, enabling Czech brands, manufacturers, and designers to present themselves to an international community of architects, designers, and interior design professionals.
