Call for Speakers – International Design Forum

Specialist Conference at InnoTrans 2020

The International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) invites experts from research, design and business to participate in the “International Design Forum” (IDF) in Berlin on 23 September 2020. Focusing on cross-sector cooperation and user-centred design in the mobility sector, the specialist conference is part of the official convention program of InnoTrans, the leading international trade fair for transport technology. https://www.innotrans.de/en/Visitors/Events/InnoTransConvention/

Keynotes should try to answer questions such as: Which trends are shaping public transport? How do manufacturers, suppliers and designers respond to changing lifestyles, workplaces and mobility patterns? Which possibilities, opportunities and challenges is the industry facing? Which future issues and trends in public transport are on the horizon? How will interiors change? How will we travel in the future?

Partner Sessions will revolve around themes such as: Passenger area (well-being, travel experience), Cockpit (user experience, security, networking), Smart Train (networked services for operators, personnel and passengers), and Train team and personnel (services, improvement of the working environment).

The forum presents thought leaders from globally renowned businesses, research and design organisations such as Deutsche Bahn, RATP, Siemens, Bombardier Transportation, Lantal, BMW Group Designworks, Designaffairs, Edenspiekermann, Frog, Priestmangoode, N+P Industrial Design, büro+staubach, Seymourpowell, Spirit Design or Tangerine among others.

The conference will be held in English with simultaneous translation into German. The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2020.
