About the Creative Pact for Skills
At the CSW Closing Session of the day, BEDA’s immediate past president, Isabelle Vérilhac, closed the event as an opening for further pathways. The previous two days of the Creative Skills Conference and Cyanotype trainings have been inspiring, opening new opportunities and marking the start of ongoing collaboration.
The Creative Pact for Skills, co-led by BEDA and Creative Fed, was launched in 2022 by the European Commission as part of the Large Scale Partnerships to promote lifelong learning, with a focus on the Cultural and Creative Industries. Creative Pact for Skills has grown to 230+ members, and is supported by DG Employ and DG EAC.
The Creative Pact for Skills operates as the European coordination platform for skills development in the Cultural and Creative Industries, bringing together education providers, creative businesses, intermediary organisations, social partners, and public authorities. Through its thematic Working Groups, biannual plenary meetings, and shared collaboration tools, the Pact enables members to exchange knowledge, co-create solutions, and collectively address skills needs related to the triple transition.
The Pact’s work is reinforced by EU-funded initiatives such as SACCORD, which supports policy development, Local Ecosystem Partnerships, structured skills intelligence, microcredentials, in close collaboration with sister projects like CYANOTYPES and with EIT Culture & Creativity. By connecting European policy priorities with concrete actions at sectoral, regional, and local levels, the Creative Pact for Skills serves as a living framework for collaboration, experimentation, and long-term impact in creative skills development across Europe.
