Culture Moves Europe: Open Calls for Individual Mobility and Residency Hosts

Creative Europe currently offers two Open Calls – a call for Individual Mobility for designers, fashion designers and more, and a call for Residency Hosts to legal entities wishing to host artists and cultural professionals for a residency project.

Call for residency hosts 2025-2026

Deadline: 16 March 2026

The call supports legal entities that wish to host artists or cultural professionals for a residency. It consists of two phases:

• Phase 1: Applicants submit a description of the residency project along with all required documents about the legal entity.
• Phase 2: Applicants selected in Phase 1 then choose the artists or cultural professionals who will take part in the residency and complete the final application.

Who can apply?
Legal entities that:

• Are registered and based in a Creative Europe country (including overseas countries/territories and outermost regions)
• Can host the proposed residency for artists or cultural professionals from other Creative Europe countries
• Are active in one of the eligible sectors, whether newly established or long-standing: architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts, visual arts

The residency grant offers:

To the host

• Hosting allowance: €50 per day, per resident
• Accessibility support (if needed): €375 / €675 / €1,200 depending on residency duration

To each resident

• Daily allowance: €30 per day
• Travel allowance: up to 400€ or up to 800€ (depending on distance)

Additional funding for top-ups and accessibility support (if applicable)

What is required to apply?

1. A concept for a residency project to host between 1 and 5 residents. It should follow 2 of these objectives: to learn, to create, to explore, to connect, or to transform.
2. The capacity to implement the residency project and provide adequate accommodation and workspaces.
3. At least one mentor to provide artistic guidance to the residents

Call for Individual Mobility 2025-2026

The deadlines for the call for individual mobility in 2026 are on a rolling basis as follows:

• 31 January
• 28 February
• 31 March
• 30 April

Who can apply?

Artists and cultural professionals, who are:

• legally residing in one of the Creative Europe countries, including the overseas countries and territories and outermost regions
• 18 years of age or older
• active in one of the following sectors: architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts, and visual arts; No specific level of experience is required

The call for individual mobility allows applications from individuals and groups of up to 5 people.

The Grant offers:

• Daily allowance – 85 €
• Travel allowance – up to 400€ or up to 800€ (depending on distance)
• Various Top-ups and Accessibility support
