DesignEuropa Awards 2025 Applications are Open Till the End of February
EUIPO, the EU’s organisation for IP rights, copyright and design protection, is the host of the DesignEuropa Award. The purpose of the award is to celebrate well-designed and design-protected products and solutions, as well as increase awareness of how design protection strengthens business models and creates value.
EUIPO is one of BEDA’s long-time strategic partners, and together we have hosted several workshops focusing on how design protections are a competitive tool, and on the barriers that prevent designers and design-based companies from protecting their products and solutions
This year the award show will take place in Copenhagen (last year Riga was the host city), and on this occasion, BEDA and EUIPO once again will host a workshop on design protection.
As for all awards, a professional yet neutral jury has been appointed with the task of identifying the finalists and winners of the total four awards. Two product awards to respectively a small company and a large corporation. Besides criteria concerning good design, the criteria are that the products and solutions submitted are design-protected. The additional two awards are dedicated to designers: a young talent and to a designer for a lifetime of achievements. In 2024, an emotional Dieter Rams accepted the award.
It is simple and free to apply – or to nominate.
The award is important to the design sector and community, so we encourage you to promote the award now and apply or nominate candidates who deserve to win this award.
The submission deadline is just around the corner, 28 February 2025.
