France Design Week 2026 and France Design Impact Award 2026

From 18 to 30 September 2026, France Design Week returns for its 7th edition, bringing together designers, businesses, schools, public institutions and cultural organisations across France.

Under the theme “D for Design, D for Duty”, this year’s festival explores how design helps address the major environmental, social and economic challenges shaping our future. More than a showcase of creativity, France Design Week highlights design as a strategic tool for innovation, inclusion and sustainable transformation.

Nearly 500 events will take place throughout the country, including exhibitions, conferences, workshops, studio visits, open houses and networking events. Coordinated by the APCI – Agency for the Promotion of Industrial Creation, the festival relies on a growing national network of regional partners committed to promoting design within their local ecosystems.

The opening ceremony will be held in Paris on 18 September, alongside the France Design Impact Award, celebrating projects that demonstrate the positive impact of design on society, the economy and the environment. The national closing event will take place at the Galerie Nationale du Design, Saint-Étienne, reinforcing the festival’s ambition to connect territories and strengthen the French design community.

In 2026, France Design Week also marks a new step in its long-term vision: beyond the annual festival, it continues to build a permanent national community, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and new opportunities between designers and all those who shape tomorrow’s world.
