This book accompanies the Louvre-Design exhibition presented at the Louvre-Lens Museum from October 7, 2020 to February 1, 2021. The Louvre-Design exhibition presents a singular reflection: the origin of objects, even before the emergence of the discipline of design. lille—design expo #3
This book accompanies the exhibition Past Present, Industrial Memory presented at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains from 15 October 2020 to 03 January 2021. The exhibition Past, present, industrial memory presents the confrontation of a strong regional industrial history with the current views and practices of designers. Four emblematic companies, recognised for their exceptional know-how, have been associated with three designers, under the gaze of Alain Fleischer, filmmaker. The result is the production of new objects, a true celebration of living heritage. This project highlights the added value of design at the heart of the company, its openness to innovation and differentiation.
