Out Now! Dd Yearbook ’25–’26: Undercurrents

On 22 January, the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) proudly presents the sixth edition of the acclaimed Dd, Dutch Designers Yearbook, this time exploring the theme Undercurrents. This hardcover publication offers the definitive overview of a year in Dutch design, highlighting key developments in the field.

Undercurrents
Dd Yearbook ’25–’26 looks to the immediate past and near future of the Dutch design world, offering a candid view of what designers think and create. Taking Undercurrents as its theme, this edition focuses on hopeful countermovements through which the design sector responds to the challenges of our time. The book reveals how designers – from emerging talent to established names – are developing new perspectives on issues such as sustainability, technology and community.

New perspectives in design
The book features interviews with Ramon Amaro, the new Creative Director of Design Academy Eindhoven, Studio Humade, and design experts Ninke Bloemberg, Yassine Salihine and Viola van Alphen, as well as essays by Nynke Tromp, Director of PONT, and Maarten H. Lamers, Specialist in Creative Intelligence & Technology at Leiden University. In addition, Dd Yearbook presents a selection of inspired graduation projects from Dutch design academies, award-winning design cases, and work by influential designers such as Max Kisman, Yuri Veerman, Eva Mels, Vera van der Burg, Modem, Rudy Guedj and Céline Hurka.

This wide-ranging publication exemplifies the diversity, inventiveness and impact of the Dutch design landscape. It is an indispensable reference work on a sector in motion, for designers, clients, policymakers, educational institutions and design enthusiasts alike.
