Politecnico di Milano looking for partners

The Politecnico di Milano is leading a group participating in the call HORIZON-CL6-2021-GOVERNANCE-01-08: “Improving understanding of and engagement in bio-based systems with training and skills development”.

The project team includes ENT (CE Bioeconomy, waste CE, etc.) + SMEs networks, R2M Solutions (Bioeconomy-Business models), CAP Digital (Hub for digital & ecological transformation), Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre at Limerick Institute of Technology, and other partners. On the educational side, the group already includes two Schools of the Politecnico di Milano (AUIC-Scuola di Architettura Urbanistica Ingegneria delle Costruzioni, and Scuola di Design) and two Department (DASTU-Dipartimento di Architettura e Studi Urbani and DABC-Dipartimento di Architettura, Ingegneria delle Costruzioni e Ambiente Costruito) and are also involving others Universities (IIAC- Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, with Valldaura Labs), and some European networks the Politecnico is part of (e.g. Idea League, ALLIANCE4TEACH, Athens Network, New European Bauhaus initiative, etc.)

They are also looking for partners interested in promoting social engagement and supporting permanent learning, re-training and mentoring in the area of bio-based economy (materials, systems and chains). The aim is to enhance the role of design and creativity, with arts and culture museums, science centres, etc., for co-creating innovative multi-actors Learning-by-Living Labs (e.g. innovative products experimenting the combination of 3D printing with a wide range of biomaterials).

The project will also focus on some case studies/pilots: the urban-rural Paris Region, the Metropolitan Area of Milan, and the marine/rural area of Catalunya.
