Product Design Research by esad-idea: European research project 'FACS - Future Automotive Cockpit & Storage'

esad-idea, Research in Design and Art is part of the European research project FACS – Future Automotive Cockpit & Storage, promoted by the Portuguese company Simoldes Plásticos, to develop the cockpit of the future for new light commercial vehicle models. Several esad–idea researchers and students from ESAD/ College of Art and Design’s Master’s in Product Design were involved in the project, together with researchers from CEiia – Centre for Engineering and Development and the PSA Group, carrying out a survey of user experiences, preliminary research and designing new products for the vehicle’s cockpit [2017–2021].
