"The New Belgians" at SaloneSatellite, Milan Design Week, 18-23 April 2023

Considered as a unique starting point for young designers under 35, the SaloneSatellite, scheduled during the Salone del Mobile.Milano is the opportunity for 13 Belgian designers to present their work under the banner of Belgium is Design.

The year 2023 highlights the 15th presence of a Belgian delegation at the SaloneSatellite. The strength of this collective stand coordinated by Belgium is Design is the richness and diversity of the profiles selected by the jury, but also their attachment to a handcrafted reality. From woven textiles to refined wood, marble scraps or steel, traditional gestures coupled with revisited industrial know-how is taking over. It seems that the industry nowadays requires a hybrid design more human-centered and poetic, both essential in this sector.
