BEDA is the largest design representation body in Europe. Our 45+ Members from 27 countries include national and regional design promotion centres, professional design and trade associations, and design councils, museums and scientific organisations. Together, our professional and trade association members represent around 800,000 designers across Europe, and between us we deliver most of the design activity happening at national and regional level.
What We Do Together
BEDA works on two timeframes. In the short term (1–5 years), we support and enable our Members, strengthening their work with national governments and connecting them with the European Parliament. In the longer term (5–15 years), we advocate for design’s place in Europe’s future by working with the European Commission, its Directorates-General, the EUIPO and other agencies, and by shaping EU programmes and missions. Membership gives your organisation a voice in both.
Who Can Join
Membership is open to organisations only, not individuals. We welcome design promotion centres, professional design and trade associations, design councils, museums and scientific organisations based within the geographical limits of Europe.
