BEDA Open Doors Dialogue: Project SACCORD - Skills for Designers

online

08:00 - 09:30 CET

English

BEDA members only

Hosts: Isabelle Vérilhac, BEDA Past President
Dimitris Kaboukos, BEDA Project Manager
Topic: Project SACCORD – Designers’ Skills Needs

All BEDA members can join this ODD to share what they have done for up- and reskilling for designers and to have an active role in shaping the future of design in Europe. Members who have not received the event email invitation can reach out to communication@beda.org

During the ODD, you could contribute to the Annual Survey for Pact for Skills as BEDA members, and arrange SACCORD activities in your country, with your members, for up and reskilling designers.

For two years, BEDA has been one of the three co-leaders of the Large Scale Skills Partnership (LSP) in the Cultural and Creative Industries ecosystem. With seven other European partners, and led by ECBN, BEDA has won an Erasmus+ Forward-looking project to support the LSP and develop Local Ecosystem Partnerships.

SACCORD – The Skills ACCORD

The Project scheme aims to support the LSP for Creative Pact for Skills and to foster the creation of Local Ecosystem Partnerships (LEPs) to better integrate creative skills development within local education systems. These LEPs will manage local re- and upskilling efforts and contribute to the European Skills Agenda’s Pact for Skills. Moreover, SACCORD will gather data on skills and explore incorporating micro-credentials into the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) ecosystem. Furthermore, SACCORD will host the Creative Skills Week for 2024 and 2025.
