Who We Are
Creative Industries Styria (CIS) is the cluster and network society of the creative industries in Styria/Austria. Its core task is to strengthen the creative industries and their networking with the eco-system on the basis of a modern understanding of innovation. The focus is on design as well as on the transformational and innovative power of the creative industries.
As a network society, Creative Industries Styria sees itself as a bridge builder and networking instance between the sectors of the creative industries and the classic economy, with the aim of improving and expanding performance and efficiency on the market for all participants.
CIS is the competence center for the city of Graz as UNESCO City of Design, organizer of the DESIGN MONTH GRAZ Festival, the Austrian Design Talks at Hollenegg Castle and many formats for networking and promoting design. Creativity is understood as a valuable raw material for intelligent change.
