Who We Are
The vibrant campus is home to nine diverse faculties in two different cities (Győr and Mosonmagyaróvár) and forms the heart of a rapidly growing innovation ecosystem, complemented by the ZalaZone and Győr Innovation Parks as well as the Smart Farm in Mosonmagyaróvár. Together, these facilities provide an inspiring environment for education, research, and collaboration between academia and industry.

The Design Campus community aims to create an inspiring environment through education, research and innovation.
We are a diverse group of creative artists and designers who are committed to up-to-date, responsible design. We are building an open intellectual cospace where we welcome
talented people, regardless of where they come from.
The mission of Design Campus is to use the tools of design to educate students in the fields of science, technology, and creativity that best serve the community in the 21st century.
Since the fall of 2025, our mission is to strengthen the role of creative and innovative thinking throughout the entire ecosystem of Széchenyi István University, linking design-based development with the needs of education, research and industrial partnerships.
We work closely with the Science Park and the Design Campus to promote research and innovation, corporate collaboration, and the visibility of the university. Our strategic goal is to develop third mission activities as widely as possible. The Competence Centre aims to become one of the most influential design innovation workshops in the region, forming a bridge between the university, the industry, the creative ecosystem and society, while contributing to strengthening the international position of the University.
