AIAP 80 in Bologna: Assembly and Events

On Friday, 19 September 2025, from 10:00, the AIAP Ordinary and Elective Assembly will take place in Bologna at the Ascom Headquarters.

On the occasion of the election of new Board Members and as part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of AIAP, two exhibitions will be inaugurated at 17:00, at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna.

The eightieth anniversary of the Resistance will be commemorated with an exhibition of posters, entitled “Resistant Designers. 80 Years of the Resistance in the Posters of Licalbe Steiner and Studio Origoni Steiner” (“Grafici resistenti. 80 anni di Resistenza nei manifesti di Licalbe Steiner e Studio Origoni Steiner”), that recall the universal values of freedom, democracy, and peaceful coexistence, and demonstrate how graphic design can convey them.

The second exhibition, “Massimo Dolcini. Pages Never Seen” (“Massimo Dolcini. Pagine inedite”), presents an unpublished and more personal side of Massimo Dolcini, through pages from some of his sketchbooks, featuring illustrations and reflections by one of the leading figures of socially committed graphic design.

Both exhibitions will remain open until 31 October 2025.

The AIAP Assembly will be hosted by Confcommercio Ascom Bologna, which is also celebrating its 80th anniversary, and with which AIAP has recently renewed its memorandum of understanding for the 2025–2026 biennium.
The agreement between the two organisations envisages forms of collaboration at various levels: from trade union representation for AIAP members, to professional training and consultancy in the fields of design and communication for Ascom Bologna members.
