Mission Statement
Dita Doanosa is a dedicated advocate for advancing the field of design and fostering collaboration within the European design community. With 12 years of professional experience, Dita aims to significantly contribute to the Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA). Her mission is to drive innovation through meaningful connections and partnerships, empowering designers to tackle complex challenges. She brings expertise in Intellectual Property Rights, a proactive approach to leadership, and a dedication to representing the interests of BEDA’s members, ensuring the organisation remains a leading voice in the design industry.
Dita is the Head of the Latvian Design Centre and is a design visionary with over fifteen years dedicated to the fashion and design industries in Latvia. Transitioning from a successful banking career, Dita has organised numerous fashion festivals, fashion weeks, and design events, and played a key role in launching the national design award and winning the prestigious Red Dot prize. She founded the Latvian Design Centre to promote design as a strategic tool for economic growth, innovation, sustainability, and cultural identity. The Latvian Design Centre actively engages in policy-making, research, education, and international collaborations, including the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus Initiative. Dita also lectures on strategic marketing, service design, and branding, and frequently contributes to public discussions on design and creative industries.
