PDR's Involvement in the Symbio Project

PDR is excited to announce its participation in SYMBIO, an innovative three-year project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research initiative that aims to empower European regional communities to develop bio-based business models built on circularity and industrial symbiosis principles.

Dr Katie Beverley, PDR’s Senior Ecodesign Researcher, and Piotr Swiatek from the Design Policy team are playing key roles. Their expertise will be instrumental in mapping bio-based ecosystems within pilot regions, identifying drivers and barriers to adopting this approach, and exploring the societal impact of the project’s interventions.
