
Antonella Andriani
Mission Statement
Antonella Andriani is a strategic designer with two master’s degrees in Industrial Design (Politecnico di Milano) and Eco‑compatible Product Design (Politecnico di Torino), as well as a postgraduate diploma from Alta Scuola Politecnica. Since 2002, she has worked internationally across product design, visual communication and exhibition design, promoting Italian design culture. Earlier in her career (1989–2002), she worked as a project manager in ICT for leading financial institutions, including JPMorgan.
She is a Full Professor of Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti Statale di Verona, where she founded the master’s degree in Italian Strategic Design and currently serves as Director of the Department of Design and Applied Arts. She has also held senior leadership roles in international cooperation, particularly with China, and teaches Ecodesign as an adjunct professor at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and the Politecnico di Milano.
An international keynote speaker, jury member and workshop leader, she has spoken worldwide, from the United Nations in New York to universities and cultural institutions across Europe and Asia. In 2020, she was elected National Vice President of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale and serves on the boards of Fondazione ADI Compasso d’Oro, Confcommercio Professioni and Poli.Design.

With over 35 years of experience, I see design as a strategic force—one that turns complex visions into tangible solutions and improves quality of life. I am committed to building on the strong work of the current BEDA Board, strengthening collaboration among partners and inspiring future generations of designers across regions.
As Vice President, I aim to balance listening with decisive action, supporting the Presidency in driving change with responsibility, inclusion and excellence. I am ready to contribute my creativity, commitment and determination in the service of our community and its future challenges.
