On 22 and 23 March 2018 the International Design Center Berlin will host a two-day networking programme in Łódź. The "Berlin Poland" event intends to connect smaller- and medium-sized Berlin fashion labels with Polish clothing manufacturers.
On 14 June the International Design Center Berlin will host a conference on Circular Economy and Ecodesign at the EUREF Campus in Berlin. Alongside workshops, lectures and talks, the conference will present the exhibition "Reconsider Design".
The 2018 German Design Awards were held on 9 February 2018. In the competition’s 49 categories, a total of 45 gold prizes were awarded.
Arctic Design Week, which took place from 19 to 25 February in Rovaniemi, Finland, put the focus on circular economy and design with a varied programme that included several events on sustainable design. It is organised by BEDA member bayern design GmbH and sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology and the City of Munich.
